WILMA TUCKER ASHLEY, age 88, of Estill Springs, Tenn. departed this life on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma, Tenn. following an extended illness. Ms. Ashley was born in Winchester on March 30, 1929, to the late Joe David Tucker and Vee Armstrong Tucker.  She was a member of the Estill Springs Church of God.  Ms. Ashley was employed for over 40 years as an insurance clerk at the then, Franklin County Hospital where she retired.  She was also employed before her retirement at Queens City Infirmary and several Doctor's offices in Winchester. She loved taking care of her family, was an immaculate housekeeper and enjoyed working in her yard. She also enjoyed her dogs, Sparky and Sparkles.  She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Austin, "A.I." Ashley.  She is survived by her children;  Brenda (Jerry) Ferrell, David (Barbara) Ashley all of Estill Springs, Delilah (Gary) Gunn of Thompsons Station, Tenn., Doug (Beth) Ashley of Broadview,  Grandchildren; Jody Ferrell, Julie Walker, Josh (Lynn) Gunn, Derek (Shayna) Gunn, Lennon (Casey) Ashley, Michael Dustin Ashley, Ricky (Krystal) Livingston and David (April) Livingston, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Nurses and staff of the West Wing at Life Care Center of Tullahoma and the Hospice Compassus Nurses for the excellent care given to their mother.

Visitation for Ms. Ashley will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday Evening, December 11, 2017, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.  Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor Don Parker, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Estill Springs.
