WILLIAM ROY CONNER, age 69,of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., losing his battle with cancer.  Mr. Conner was born in Stevenson, Ala., on April 27, 1957, to the late Charles Allen Conner and Jessie Lou Wilson Conner.  He was last employed for 20 years at Tyson in Shelbyville as a Supervisor before becoming disabled. Mr. Conner was a member of the Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma.  He was active in the Church worship services and enjoyed attending services when he was able.  He planted a vegetable garden and enjoyed working in it.  His favorite past time was fishing.  He was always up for a good card game and was accused a few times of "cheating" at rummy.  He will be remembered  for his willingness to help people and his Christian love for them, as well as, his big heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by  his sister, Ellen Conner.  He is survived by his daughter, Johanna Gifford and husband, Zachary Gifford of Winchester.  Son, Joshua (Brittany Baker) of Estill Springs. Brothers; David (Elaine) Conner of Hillsboro, Tenn., Kenneth (Beth) Conner of Manchester, Johnny (Christy) Conner of Fayetteville, Tenn. and Donnie Conner of Oklahoma. Sisters; Pat (Bobby) Watkins of Tullahoma, Evelyn (Wayne) Reese of Tullahoma. Grandchildren; Dustin Russell, Charles Russell, Rachael Russell all of Winchester, Dameon Conner, Jazymn Conner, Cory (Lisa) Conner of Tullahoma and Chase Conner.  Great-Granchild, Ayden Russell.

Services for Mr. Conner are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2026 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services LLC with Pastor Kelly Cunningham, officiating. Visitation with the family is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 on Monday.

Interment will follow services  in Freedonia Cemetery in Manchester.
