WANDA FAYE POWELL of Belvidere passed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at her residence at the age of 83. A native of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Silas Woodrow and Freda Cameron Payne.

Mrs. Powell loved to cook. She also enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, spending time with her great grandchildren, raising her chickens and taking care of her house cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Powell Sr; brother, Jimmy Payne and sister, Jennlou Hargrove.

Mrs. Powell is survived by sons, Robert Lee Powell Jr (Kathleen) of Tullahoma and Ricky Powell (Bandie) of Flintville; special friend, Dennis Inmon of Belvidere; grandchildren, Robert Brent Powell of Winchester, Tori Powell of New York and Cara Galloway (Kevin) of Flintville; great grandchildren, Gwyneth Paige Powell of Murfreesboro and Maddie and Beau Galloway, both of Flintville and sister, Mary Ruth Hazelwood (Dena) of Winchester.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Grant Funeral Services, LLC with burial to follow at Maxwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the funeral time.
