WILLIAM "CECIL" SMITH, age 68, of Tullahoma, Tenn., departed this life at his home on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, following an extended illness.  Mr. Smith was born on February 24, 1948 in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Joe and Flora Smith.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in the Vietnam War.  He was a former Vice Commander and member of VFW Post 1893.  His favorite hobby was dirt track racing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe Smith.  Mr. Smith is survived by his sisters; Katie Parting and husband, Norman of Tullahoma, Carolyn Macon and husband, Steve of Winchester.  One brother, Thomas  Smith and wife, Bettye of Tullahoma, sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Winchester.  Several nieces and nephews survive as well.

A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Franklin Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Chris Seals, officiating. Military honors will be bestowed.
