VICKY ARLENE HUDSON ATKISSON, age 64, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life suddenly at her residence on Monday, May 31, 2021.  Ms. Atkisson was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on December 11, 1956, to the late James and Margaret Hudson.  Ms. Atkisson was employed for many years as a CNA at an assisted living facility in Franklin, Tenn.  Ms. Atkisson volunteered at The Journey Home, shelter and food bank in Murfreesboro.  She then moved to Franklin County in 2017.  Ms. Atkisson enjoyed helping people and volunteered at the Tullahoma Nazarene Church near Cedar Lane food bank.  She loved gardening and will be remembered as a "master gardener" as well as a loving Mother and sister.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Atkisson was preceded in death by her sister, Elnora Gibson.  She is survived by her son, Dillion Atkisson of Murfreesboro, daughter, Novella Atkisson of Estill Springs, Tenn., son, Owen Atkisson and wife, Julia of Savannah, Ga., brother, Charles Daniel Hudson of Murfreesboro, sisters; Sherry Blain and husband James, Cathy Yamarino both of Melbourne, Fla.
