THOMAS WAYNE WALKER, age 74, of Cowan, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at STRHS Winchester, following an extended illness.  Mr. Walker was born in Winchester, Tenn., on August 19, 1948, to the late Joe William Walker and Della Mae Gass Walker.  He last attended Hope Baptist Church in Cowan.  Mr. Walker was retired from the Franklin County Highway Dept. where he was employed in the Road Maintenance Dept.  He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing when he was able.  He was a very adventurous person that will be remembered by his family and friends for the "tall tales" he enjoyed sharing with them.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his brothers; Floyd, Robert "Tubby" and Leonard Walker and one sister, Bonnie Stewart.  He is survived by his brother, David Walker and wife, Dinah of Belvidere, sister, Betty Wilkinson and husband, Danny of Cowan and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and will be announced when scheduled.
