THOMAS "TOMMY" ARCHIE GREER, age 84, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, June 9 2021, at Elk River Health & Rehab of Winchester following an extended illness.  Mr. Greer was born in Shelbyville, Tenn., on Dec. 4, 1936, to the late Joseph Loyd Greer and Pauline Prosser Greer.  Mr. Greer was retired from the former Wagner Corp. in Tullahoma.  After his retirement he was employed for several years at O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Winchester.  Mr. Greer was a member of the Broadview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.  He enjoyed all sports, horse shows and spending time with his family.  Mr. Greer never met a stranger, he will be remembered for his kind heart and as a giving and generous father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jo-Ann Oglesby Greer.  He is survived by his sons; Charles Richard "Ricky" Greer of Winchester and William "Bill" Greer of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Thomas Roy Greer and wife, Amy of Decherd, 4-grandchildren; Ashley (Tim) Short of Huntland, Brittany (Casey) Vaugham, Amanda and Christin Greer all of Decherd and 7-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 13, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Charles Houston, officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service on Sunday.

Interment will follow in the Rose Bank Cemetery in the Flat Creek Community of Bedford County.
