STEVE ALLEN THOMAS, JR., age 55, of Shelbyville, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, October 30, 2020, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Thomas was born on December 15, 1964, in Ft. Payne, Ala. to Janet Rush Thomas and the late Steven Allen Thomas, Sr.  Before becoming disabled, Mr. Thomas was the former owner of the Sonic in Scottsboro, Ala.  He was an avid football fan and his favorite teams were Alabama and the Titans.  He never met a stranger and considered everyone he met a friend.  He was a loving and caring father and grandfather that dearly loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Hooker and husband, Jeremy and Amanda Thomas all of Shelbyville. Mother, Janet Thomas of Ft. Payne, Ala. Granddaughters, Olivia Hooker and Journey Lane, sister, Dee Sanders and husband, Chad, brothers; Mike Thomas, Mark Thomas and Matt Thomas all of Alabama, former wife, mother of his daughters and friend, Carolyn Thomas of Shelbyville.

Services for Mr. Thomas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.  Visitation for Mr. Thomas is scheduled for 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 on Tuesday.

Interment will follow in the Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.
