DAVID STEPHEN RODEN, JR., age 51, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at his residence losing his battle with cancer.  Mr. Roden was born in Panama City, Florida on January 27, 1975.  Steve loved gardening and was born with a green thumb especially when it came to flowers.  He was described by everyone as "a simple man".  He loved his family especially his children and grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by his family and his dog, Baby Girl.

Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Rogers and paternal grandmother and grandfather, Elizabeth and Fred Roden.

He is survived by his wife, Leann Short Roden, parents; David and Susan Roden, brother, Matthew Roden, sister, Melanie Walker all of Estill Springs, Tenn., children; Etta Atchley of Tullahoma, Drew Roden, David Roden of Estill Springs and Drake (Hilda) Roden of Decherd, special niece, Jacey Roden, special nephew, Jagger Walker both of Estill Springs, grandsons; Xander, Carter and Daniel Roden, Maternal grandmother, Bonnie Rogers of Medina, Tenn., Uncles; Dennis (Joyce) Rogers, Jeff (Debbie) Rogers and Tony (Carol) Rogers all of Medina, Tenn.

Private services are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Steve's memory to the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN) P.O. Box 1355, Tullahoma, TN  37388.
