STACY JAMES ASHBY, age 45, of Manchester, Tenn. departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital Midtown following an extended illness.  Mr. Ashby was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., on July 31, 1977.  He was last employed in the HVAC Industry.  He was an avid fisherman.  He also enjoyed hunting deer, doves, squirrels and anything in season.  He could often be found working on cars, building motors for them and riding 4-wheelers.  He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man, who was funny, outgoing, he had a happy personality, was always there to cheer people up, and was a loving Dad, son, brother, and friend.

Mr. Ashby was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy J. Franklin and Uncles; James and Jimmy Franklin.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Ashby, Son, Landon Ashby both of Winchester, brother, Chris Ashby and wife, Chrystal of Lynchburg, Girl Friend of 7 years, Ina Hill of Manchester, Uncle Allen Franklin and wife, Kathleen of Winchester, Cousins; Jason (Misty) Hamilton of Georgia and Timmy (Sabrina) Franklin of Winchester, several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Ashby will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.  Visitation will be held from  12:00 Noon Friday until Service time at 2:00 on Friday.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
