ALFORD "SONNY" HAROLD QUALLS, JR., age 80, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, January 1, 2021 at VA Hospital Nashville, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System following an extended illness. Mr. Qualls was born in Manchester, Tenn., to the late Alford Qualls, Sr., and Pauline Dorsett Qualls on November 27, 1940.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during the Vietnam War.  Mr. Qualls was a Radio Operator and received the Rifle Marksmanship Ribbon and National Defense Service Medal during his tour of duty.  He was employed for many years as a carpenter in Residential Construction.  When he was younger his favorite hobby was fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Qualls was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Jones Qualls, step-son, Jim Campbell and grandsons; Chris Norris and Allen Walsh.

He is survived by his Son, Pat Dykes and wife, Shelia, of Winchester, Daughters; Wanda Qualls Fix and husband Steve of Tullahoma, Sara Qualls Schweitzer of Clearwater, Fla., 10-Grandchildren; Jill (Jason) Banks, Stacey (Andrew)Smith, Bryan (Jessica) Dykes, Eric (Jessica) Dykes, Kevin Dykes, Trevor Dykes and Chantel Norris all of Winchester, Amanda Walsh of San Diego, Cal., Russell (Melinda) Walsh of Winchester, Christina Schweitzer and Patrick Qualls. 18-Great Grandchildren, brothers; Donnie, Paul and Andrew Qualls, sister, Ella Fay Baker.

Services for Mr. Qualls are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor Bryan Dykes, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 on Wednesday.

Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma.
