SCOTT REED SCARBOROUGH, age 66, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence following a brief illness.  Mr. Scarborough was born in Winchester, Tenn., to the late John R. Scarborough and Nancy Harris, Scarborough.  He was a 1975 graduate of Franklin County High School.  Mr. Scarborough then attended Motlow State Community College, then U.T. Knoxville and then  received his Bachelor's degree in Aviation from the Eastern NM University.  He was employed for approximately 25 years in the Aviation Field in Huntsville, Ala. and for the past 2 years he was employed with the Tennessee Center of Applied Technology (TCAT) Winchester Campus.  Airplanes were his life.  He learned to fly at the age of 16 and became a flight instructor after receiving his degree.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane Scarborough of Winchester that expressed her love for her husband with these words; I stand here today with a broken heart to say goodbye to the love of my life, my soulmate-my husband, Scott.  Together we made memories that will last forever. I am beyond grateful he was by my side through our incredible journey. As a family we will carry his memory with us forever. Children; Elizabeth Lewis and husband, Ryan of S. Pittsburgh, Tenn., John Scarborough and wife, Molly of Murfreesboro, Tenn., 2-Grandchildren; Jackson and Brady Lewis, Sister, Lori Scarborough of Woodbury, Tenn., Brother, Carr Scarborough of Winchester, Tenn.

It was Mr. Scarborough's wishes that he be cremated and no services are planned.
