Obituary

RUTH ELIZABETH ETHRIDGE HOLLAND, age 90, of Belvidere, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Elk River Health & Rehab. in Winchester following an extended illness.  Mrs. Holland was born in Palentine, Ill. on October 19, 1931, to the late Rev. O.P. and Ida Bishop Ethridge.  Mrs. Holland last attended the Roark's Cove Baptist Church.  She was a farmer who loved working on her farm and raising pigs and cows.  She loved her farm that she first saw when she was a little girl and decided then that one day she would own that farm.  From that time forward she worked and saved her money to purchase it.  An accomplishment she was very proud of.  She was a lady that never was afraid of work.  She was a loving and caring wife and mother that loved her Lord.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Holland and son, Steve Holland.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Fred Van Atta, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Wendy and James Commers all of Belvidere.

Visitation for Mrs. Holland will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, August 16, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, at the Maxwell Cemetery in Belvidere with Bro. David McGee, officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Gideons International, The Franklin County Camp, P.O. Box 476, Winchester, TN  37398.
