Randy Taylor, 61 of Winchester, TN passed away at Erlanger Health System Chattanooga on December 29, 2023. Mr. Taylor was born to Charles and Ruby Taylor on April 7th, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. Randy spent the majority of his life serving others. He spent over 20 years in the Tennessee Army National Guard. His served the community as a Paramedic, and Police officer later in life. Randy had a very successful career as Chief of Police in Tracy City before starting his own salvage business here in Winchester.  Randy was a very strong man and anyone that knew him knew he was the biggest jokester. Randy loved his family and friends dearly and would do anything he could for any one of them.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his three brothers; Michael, Ronald and Steven Taylor and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Randy is survived by his four children, Amanda (Ryan) Buchanan of Murfreesboro, Christopher (Maria ) Taylor of Smyrna, Tenn., Travis ( Shae ) Taylor of Winchester and Zachary Taylor of Tracy City.  In addition to his four children, he's survived by four grandchildren, Triston Brandon, Myah Sutton, Denver Taylor and Mia Taylor and three great-grandchildren.

Randy will be sadly missed, especially by his children. His children would like to express their gratitude for Franklin Manor Assisted living and Erlanger Hospital for the great care they provided their father in his last days.

Services for Mr. Taylor will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Mike Robertson, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon on Tuesday prior to the Service in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Interment will follow in the Maxwell Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his parents and brothers.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
