BILLIE "RACHEL" SIMMONS HENSHAW, age 79, of Cowan, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness.  Ms. Henshaw was born in Sherwood, Tenn., on June 15, 1943, to the late John Martin Simmons and Sally Ann Guess Simmons. She is a member of Our Father's House Church in Cowan, Tenn. Ms. Henshaw was employed for approximately 15 years at the former SAS shoe factory in Tullahoma.  She then was employed at different times at Elk River and The Waters nursing facilities in housekeeping until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking for her family and in general just being a homemaker.  She was a caring and loving person.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Orville Henshaw, and two sons; James Edward and Jimmy Ray Henshaw.  She is survived by her Son, Steven Henshaw and wife, Bethany of Manchester, Tenn., Grandson, Steven Henshaw, Sisters; Orvie Haney of Cowan, Louise Garner and Marie Perry both of Sherwood and Brother, Floyd Simmons of Cowan.

Visitation for Ms. Henshaw will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, February 9, at Our Father's House Church in Cowan.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Church with Bro. Jennings Partin, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
