PHYLLIS ANN STEWART VANGORDER, age 64, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn. following a brief illness.  Mrs. VanGorder was born in Chicago, Il., to the late James Ira Coulson and Geneva Champion Coulson on July 27, 1956.  Mrs. VanGorder was a Christian.  Before becoming disabled she was employed for approximately 18 years in Human Resources at the former Monterey Mills.  After Monterey Mills closed she was employed for a few years at the City of Cowan.  She enjoyed fishing, boating, dancing and spending time at the Beach.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Coulson and Geneva Gipson and her brothers; Larry Coulson and Randy Gipson.

She is survived by her husband, Chester VanGorder of Winchester, son, James Hill and wife, Jaysa of Tullahoma, daughter, Stephanie Winton and husband, Dayton of Winchester, step-son, Steven Alan VanGorder also of Winchester, Grandchildren; Courtney Stevens and husband, Chris of Decherd, Haley Jenkins and husband Cole of Chesapeake, Va., Robert Taylor-Hill of Decherd, Garrett Burton and Alanis Grant both of Winchester, Step-grandchildren, Tyler Sanders, of Winchester, Landon Winton, Brasyn Winton, Lilli VanGorder, 2 Great- Grandchildren, Hannah Stevens and Wesson Barns,  Sisters; Janice Baker, Diane Hill, Patty Shetters, Rhonda Sherrill and Brothers; Donald Coulson, Larry Coulson, James Wayne Coulson, Bobby Coulson, Stevie Coulson,  Terry Gipson, and her Beloved Pet, Genni.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday Evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic masks are required to attend visitations and services.
