PAMELA LYNN SOUTH HOOD, age 67, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Highpoint Health in Winchester, Tenn., following an extended illness.  Mrs. Hood was born in Tullahoma, Tenn., on December 17, 1958, to the late Bobby Preston South and Annie Sue Arnold South.  Mrs. Hood received her B.S. degree in Social Work from MTSU. Before her retirement she was employed for approximately 25 years as a Counselor with the State of Tennessee Department of Children's Services (DCS).  Mrs. Hood attended Owens Chapel Presbyterian Church in Winchester before her health didn't allow her to attend.  Mrs. Hood's favorite hobby was collecting antiques. She and her husband enjoyed their trips across the country in their motor home to search for antiques for her shops.  She will be remembered as "a good woman" that loved her family.  

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Cianci.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerre Michael Hood of Winchester,  children; Tammy Hood Vaughan and husband, James and Troy Hood and wife, Holly all of Winchester.  4-grandchildren and 2-great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date.
