MICKEY JAY WILLIAMS, age 61, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life suddenly on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.  A native of Franklin County, he was born on March 2, 1962, to Frances (Carter) Williams and the late Albert Williams.  Mickey was currently employed at Franke in Fayetteville but worked for Tennessee Valley Wood Products in Huntland for 30 years prior to its closure. He last attended Maxwell Baptist Church in Huntland.  An avid sports fan, Mickey cheered for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He will be remembered for his carefree attitude, great work ethic, and his disdain for losing at any game.  Mickey also enjoyed hunting deer, turkey and other small game.

Mr. Williams is survived by his mother; his fiancé Elizabeth Armentrout; loving children: Lacey Jay Williams and Cory (Katelynn) Williams; grandchildren: Johnsy, Emmalyn, Ruby, and Stetson; three younger brothers: Dallas (Kelli), Scott (Sheila), Lance (Missy); numerous nephews and one niece, all of Huntland.

Services for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Mike Robertson, officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to Services at 2:00. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland, Tenn. with Corey, Austin, Aaron, Scott, Dallas and Lance Williams serving as pallbearers.
