Mary Bethany Neal, age 46, of Portland, Tenn., was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her home, after her battle with a life-long disease. Mary Bethany was born in Winchester, Tennessee to Donna and Elton Neal on 4/22/1979. Mary Bethany was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.  She loved to sing. She enjoyed and felt honored to be a cheerleader for Franklin County High School. She also loved going to the beach.  No matter where the beach was located, she found comfort in the sand, sun and ocean.  Mary Bethany held a special place in her heart for her dogs; Boomer was her first dog and was always in her memories after he passed.  She also had Oreo and Sebastian who remained by her side.

She was preceded in death by her father Elton Neal and Grandparents Haskell Neal, Herman W. Holt and Mary Agnes Holt.

She is survived by her Partner (Kenneth "Rusty" Byers), Mother and Step-father, Donna and Tom Brewer, Grandmother, Lurline Neal and Brother Adam Neal.  She is also survived by her Uncle Warner (Nancy) Holt, Aunts Kim (Allen)Gilmer, Mae Belle (Ben) Foster, Jennifer D.(Adam) Roland, and many cousins.

It was Mary Bethany's wish to be cremated and she will be laid to rest in Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester, Tenn.  A Private Service is scheduled.
