MARIE JUANITA BASILE RHODES, age 77, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at her residence following an extended illness.  Mrs. Rhodes was born in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Stephen and Mildred Basile on December 24, 1939.  She was employed for a short time as a waitress, but spent most of her life as a homemaker.  She was of the Methodist faith.  Mrs. Rhodes enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers and plants.  Poinsettias were her favorite as she was often referred to as a "Christmas baby". She cared more for everyone else than for herself.  Her family described her as the "glue that held the family together".  She will be greatly missed by her family and remembered as a loving, caring and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Rhodes was also preceded in death by her son, Curtis Rhodes and granddaughter, Holly Rhodes.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years Clarence Lee Rhodes, Daughters; Debbie Porter and husband Ron of Fayetteville, TN, Tina Starkle of Winchester Christie Mole and husband, Mike of Jacksonville, Fla., Teresa Vale and husband, Bob of Tracy City, Tenn. 11-Grand-children and 15 Great-Grandchildren, and close family friend, Henry Lake of Memphis, Tenn.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Wednesday evening in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 P.M.
