LINDA SUE BURKS STEELE, age 75, of Winchester, Tenn., formerly of Huntland, departed this life on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the Waters of Winchester, LLC, following an extended illness.  Ms. Steele was born in Huntland, Tenn., to the Late Ira Burks and Roxie Mae Isbell Burks on December 26, 1943.  She was a member of the Huntland Missionary Baptist Church.  Mrs. Steele was employed for approximately 25 years as a Custodian at Huntland School.  She dearly loved her family.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile that she so freely gave to everyone she would see.

Ms. Steele was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Steele.  She is survived by her son, Russell Steele, Granddaughter, Suzanne Steele of Smyrna, Tenn., Grandson, Rusty Steele of Oklahoma, Sister, Helen Morrow of Huntland, Nephews; Ricky Morrow and wife, Tina of Belvidere, Shannon Morrow and wife, Kristy of Decherd and several great-nieces and great-nephews along with several cousins.

A Graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 13, 2020, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland with Bro. Bruce Shockley, officiating.
