JUNE MARIE "BIRDIE" TOMPKINS, age 61, of Manchester, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tenn., following a brief illness.  Ms. Tompkins was born in Spencer, Tenn., on July 29, 1960, to the late Roy Gaines Cruise and Sarah Jane Garrett Cruise.  She was a homemaker. Ms. Tompkins was of the  Southern Baptist Faith.  She enjoyed cooking and singing and loved family "get togethers".  She collected lighthouses.  Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by them all.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Tompkins was preceded in death 7 days ago by her husband, Terry Tompkins, sister, Theresa Cunningham and brother, Manuel Cruise.  She is survived by her children; James King and wife, Miranda, Amy Bloodworth and husband, Paul all of McMinnville.  Brother, Ray Cruise and wife, Angela of Winchester, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services for Ms. Tompkins will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September, 24, 2021, in the Chapel of Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Cox, officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon on Friday prior to the service at 2:00.

Interment will follow in the Town Cemetery in Spencer, Tenn.
