JUDY FAY BURKES PEPPERS, age 80, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at NHC HealthCare Tullahoma following a brief illness.  Mrs. Peppers was born in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Clem Alridge Burkes and Ethel Elizabeth Preston Burkes on January 7, 1946.  She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Estill Springs, Tenn., Ms. Peppers was employed for several years as a nurses aide at Life Care Center in Tullahoma, Tenn., when it was The Meadows.  She also worked for a few years as a waitress before becoming    a homemaker.  Ms. Peppers enjoyed reading, and could play the piano by "ear" and was the assistant piano player at her church for several years.  Mrs. Peppers loved to sing and play "name that tune" as well as anyone.  She could cook and bake.  Biscuits and cornbread were her specialties.  She will be remembered for her love for singing and her love for music.

Ms. Peppers was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Peppers.  She is survived by her daughters; Kim (Bill) Chapman of Winchester, Becky (Kurt) Cole of Manchester, 3-grandchildren; Johnathan (Kate) Lendley of Salem, Va., Adam (Kayla) Lendley of Tullahoma, Kira Cole (Mal Henson) of the Winchester Springs Community and 5-great-grandchildren.

Services for Ms. Peppers will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Faith Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Scott, officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 on Thursday at the Church.

Interment willl follow services at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Estill Springs.
