JUDITH "JUDY" ANN WISE PORTER, age 83, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Elk River Health & Nursing Center of Winchester, following an extended illness.  Mrs. Porter was born in Winchester, Tenn., on May 9, 1940, to the late Ollice Wise and Mary Baker Wise.  She was of the Baptist Faith.  Mrs. Porter was a homemaker and when her daughter was young she was a Girl Scout leader.  She enjoyed helping to raise her grandchildren and taking care of her mother for approximately the last 10 years of her mother's life.  She enjoyed reading and talking on the telephone with her family.  She will be remembered as a great cook that loved to cook for her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with them all.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her sister, Jo Ellen Wise Jones.

She is survived by her husband, John Porter, Jr., daughter, Jennifer Sanders and husband, Chris, son, John Porter, III, and fianc'e, Laura Knobb all of Winchester. Grandchildren; Kristen Medley and husband, Justin of Winchester, John H. Porter, IV and wife, Cayla and Maegan Lane and husband, Jeremiah all of Lincoln County, Tenn. Sisters; Mary Wise Branch of Nashville and Joyce Wise Dickson of Dallas, Ga. and 5-great-grandchildren.

A private close family service is planned.
