JOSEPH HUBERT SHERIDAN, age 89, parted this life on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Viviant Healthcare in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after a brief illness. Mr. Sheridan was born in Sewanee, Tenn., on February 9, 1933. Mr. Sheridan was married to his beloved wife, Martina, for 65 years before she passed away. Mr. Sheridan worked as a Groundskeeper at St. Mary's Convent in Sewanee, Tenn., for several years. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and watching Westerns. John Wayne movies were some of his favorites, along with anything that came on the "Grit" television station.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by his wife, Martina, Grandson, James Randall Pattie, along with 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Sheridan is survived by his Grandsons, Joey Jackson of Sewanee, Tenn., Jeff Jackson of Monteagle, Tenn., Brian and wife Marie Jackson of Sewanee, Tenn., Sister Jamie Jones of Michigan, Grandson Robert Pattie of Cowan, Tenn., Granddaughter Jessica Hill of Decherd, Tenn., Grandson Chris Pattie of Memphis, Tenn., and many Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Sheridan will be held from 12:00-2:00 P.M Monday, February 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with the service following at 2:00 P.M.

Interment will follow in the O'Dear Cemetery in Sewanee, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife.
