JOSEPH HENRY DODSON of Manchester passed this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at his residence at the age 62. A native of Shelbyville, TN, he was the son of the late Tallie Gary and Della Ann Simmons Dodson.

Mr. Dodson enjoyed working outside in his yard, fishing, camping, hauling scrap metal, gardening and working on cars. In his own words, he "liked drinking, fighting and women".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Carey, Roger and Melvin Dodson and great grandchildren, Gavin Dodson, Eunice Rico and Angel Bravo.

Mr. Dodson is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Dodson of Manchester; children, Nicole (Marcos) Rayas of Manchester, Sonya (Randle) Wiser of Manchester, Jessica (Jose) Hernandez of Rock Island, Cassie (Emeterio) Jarquin Perez of Manchester and Jennifer (Ray) Rico of Springfield; siblings, William (Karen) Dodson of Sparta, Jerry Ray Dodson of Tullahoma, Sandra Bradford of Tullahoma, Joann (Scott) Prince of Winchester, Merlin Smith of Winchester and Martha Hughes of Mississippi; grandchildren, Jordan, Chris, Marcos, Alonzo, Gabi, Lina, Justin, Roberto, Saul, Bela, Pelora, Abigail, Madelin, Arcelia and Yosue and great grandchildren, Ella, Emmet, Kataleya, Iris, Milagros, Darlena, Reynaldo, Marcelina and Jennifer.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Grant Funeral Services, LLC. with burial to follow at Smith Chapel Cemetery in Moore County. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the service time.
