Johnny E Ray Jr., age 67, of Estill Springs, TN, departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his residence.  Mr. Ray, a native of Tullahoma, was the son of the late Johnny E. Ray Sr and the late, Audrey Jones Ray Goad. Mr. Ray worked as a financial manager with the Heritage South Community Credit Union and was a member of the Estill Springs United Methodist Church. In 2016 he went on a mission trip to Panama with the church. He was a marathon runner and enjoyed coaching Little League for many years. He was a past member of the Tullahoma Downtown Lions Club and was a Melvin Jones Fellowship Award Recipient. He was also a District Governor for Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marcus Goad.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Marcia Luthy Ray, of Estill Springs; son, Logan Neil Ray and his wife, Jessica of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Kennedy and Camille Ray and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, at the Estill Springs United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joe Rutherford and Rev. Cindy Gray, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 10 AM until the service time on Wednesday.
