JOHN WASHINGTON HILL, age 80, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at STRHS Winchester, following a brief illness.  Mr. Hill was born in Manchester, Tenn., to the late George Washington Hill and Wilma Jean Lynn Hill. He was a self-employed Carpenter doing mostly residential construction and was also a part-time farmer.  Mr. Hill enjoyed "socializing" and sitting on his front porch.  He could often be found watching one of his two favorite T.V. programs, westerns and wrestling.  He was a Christian.  Mr. Hill loved his dogs, Little Bit and Suzie.  Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his son, Richard Hill, daughter, Sheila Walls, brother, David Hill and nephew, Randy Hill.

He is survived by his daughter, Larissa McCullough and husband, Tim of Winchester, son, Eric Hill and wife, Amy of Manchester, 8-Grandchildren; Demetria Stephens and husband, Tyler of Decherd, Tenn., Jessica Gilliam and husband, Jimmy of Pelham, Tenn., Kelley Kennedy and husband, Sean of Manchester, Paige Howard and husband, Anthony of Winchester, Breonna Rollins and husband, Jonathan of Winchester, Skyler Hill of Manchester, Tenn., Avery Hill (Riley Wooten) of Manchester, Libby Hill of Manchester. 5-Great-grandchildren, nephew Keith Hill and niece Angie Cruise and  one sister-in-law, Carolyn Hill of Decherd, Tenn.

Services for Mr. Hill will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Pastor Jordan Atkisson, officiating.  Visitation for Mr. Hill will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday prior to the service at 1:00 on Saturday.

Interment will follow in Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
