JIMMY RAY FRANKLIN, age 67, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his residence following a brief battle with cancer.  Mr. Franklin was born in Winchester, Tenn., on November 14, 1954, to the late James Thomas Franklin and Dorothy Jean Cowan Franklin.  Mr. Franklin was last employed at the former Lannoms Tannery in Tullahoma for approximately 15 years before his retirement. His favorite past time was walking.  He was an avid reader and was often seen sitting on his front porch with a book. He loved his pets and his family. He was often told that he was a wise man because he had never married.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his brother, James Leon Franklin.  He is survived by his sister, Linda Kay Ashby of Winchester, brothers; Allen Franklin and wife, Kathlene of Winchester and Marty Franklin of Manchester, niece; Misty Hamilton, nephews; Stacy Ashby, Timmy Franklin and Chris Ashby and wife, Chrystal.

A Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd with Eulogist, Donnie Turner, officiating.
