JAMES MONROE MARTIN, age 86, of Winchester, Tenn., formerly of Nashville, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Laurel Oaks Retirement Home following an extended illness.  Mr. Martin was born in Nashville, Tenn. on December 24, 1935, to the late James Martin and Ruth Dotson Martin.  He was a graduate of NBA in Nashville.  After high school he then attended Vanderbilt University and then joined the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Korean War.  He was employed at various jobs until his retirement.  He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan.  He will be remembered as a man who was strong in his faith.

He is survived by his sons; Stephen Martin of Devens, Massachusetts, Colin Martin and wife, Jodi of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, grandchildren; Cameron Arnold of Columbia, Tenn., Eric Martin of Knoxville, Tenn., Alex and Ali Martin of Thompson's Station, Tenn., and Zora Martin of Devens, Mass.  1-Great-grandchild, Lincoln Arnold and the mother of his children, Katherine Martin of Nashville, Tenn.
