Glynn Syler, age 87, of Lynchburg, Tenn., formerly of Franklin County, received his Angel Wings on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Lynchburg Nursing Center following a brief illness.  Mr. Syler was born in Belvidere, Tenn., on March 19, 1934.  He was a lover of Walking Horses and spent many years as a Trainer.  Mr. Syler and his wife, Billie Jo moved to Wisconsin in 1968 where he was offered employment as a horse trainer and stayed for one year and then returned to Tennessee in 1969 to manage a farm in the Hurdlow Community of Moore County. They then moved to a large farm at Edde Bend in Moore County for the remainder of his farming years.  It was in the 1990's he was also employed by Jeff and Sheri Gamble helping with their Walking Horses.  They finally retired and moved to Cowan, Tenn., and Mr. Syler worked for a few years for Vernon Miller on his farm.  He was a member of the Cowan First Baptist Church.  He enjoyed being with family and friends and attending the Tennessee Walking Horse Shows.

Mr. Syler was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Syler, wife, Billie Jo Miller Syler, and son, Jeff Syler. He is survived by his Niece, Ethelyn Temples of Winchester, Great Nephew, Tracy Temples of Winchester, and Special Cousin, Brad Syler of Winchester.

Services for Mr. Syler will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday Evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. E.Z. Johnson, officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. until Service time at 1:00 on Friday.

Interment will follow in the Watson-North Memorial Park in Winchester where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved, wife, Billie Jo.
