GLENDAL FAYE LEE SMITH, age 76, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Gayle's Elderly Care in Decherd, Tenn., following an extended illness.  Ms. Smith was born in Scottsboro, Ala., to the late James Allen Lee and Hazel Hillard Lee on April 8, 1943.  She resided in Cisney, Ill. until 1979, when she moved to Franklin County.  She was a hair dresser for many years before she was self-employed with her late husband, Miles G. Smith at M & J Surveying in Winchester.  She last attended the Decherd Nazarene Church.  Ms. Smith was a 33 year member of the Winchester Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 196, where she served two terms as Worthy Matron. She and her late husband, Miles enjoyed traveling in their motor home before his passing.  She will be remembered as a caring person that would do anything for anyone, and was a person always willing to help.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her grandson, Jamie Griffith. She is survived by her children; Debi "L.D." (J.T.) Thompson, Jimmy (Sue) Griffith and Kathy (Tommy) Hill all of Tullahoma.  Grandchildren; Josh Underwood and Ashley Underwood (Justin) Reid, Steve (Heather) Jones of Winchester, Jacob Griffith all of Tullahoma, Brian Allen Sanders and Jeremy Dustin Sanders both of Winchester, Jared Griffith of Shelbyville and J.D. Thompson of Tullahoma.  6-Great-grandchildren and sister, Delorris Bates and husband, Hollis of Winchester.

Visitation for Ms. Smith will be held from 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 23, until service time at 2:00, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Bro. Brian Nave, officiating.  Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
