Loudermilk
Jun 21, 1939 — Jul 1, 2025
GLENDA FAYE COWAN LOUDERMILK, age 86, of Winchester, Tenn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee on June 21, 1939. After moving to Michigan at the age of four, she spent the majority of her childhood there, met and married her love Irvie Loudermilk, and began her own family. In 1971, she and her husband and their growing family with 6 children moved home to Tennessee where she had two more children. She loved to read and sew. And she especially loved to travel, whether it was camping early in her marriage or beach trips in her later years. But her greatest joy and pride came from being a mother to her eight children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her favorite quote was there was always room for one more, which was embodied by her faithful membership at the Church of Christ at Little Mountain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Irvie Loudermilk, parents Benjamin and Helen Cowan, sister Frances (Edgar) Pistole. She is survived by her children Irvie (Susan) Loudermilk, Hal (Tresa) Loudermilk, Glenda (Tommy) Terrill, Roy (Joyce) Loudermilk, Bonnie (Greg) Morris, Clara (Johnny) Yates, Thomas (Shannon) Loudermilk, Paul (Dawn) Loudermilk, brother Ray Cowan, sister Dianne Bush, sister Gayle (Les) Nicaise, grandchildren Rebecca Loudermilk, Tiffany Terrill, Kelli Yates, Lee (Brandye) Terrill, Amanda (Michael) Bishop, Lela Loudermilk, Tyler (Mady) Loudermilk, Christopher Loudermilk, Clayton (Olivia) Loudermilk, Shelby Loudermilk, and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Little Mountain Ministry Camp, 710 Old Holders Cove Road, Winchester, TN 37398 or to the Franklin County Christian Memorial Foundation. If you choose to send flowers, the family requests non-blooming plants.
