ELVA ROSENA CLAY, age 80, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tenn., following a brief illness. Ms. Clay was a resident at The Waters of Winchester, LLC. She was known by all as "Aunt Tootsie". She was born on August 23, 1936, to the late Early Nelson and Frances Turner Nelson in Boaz, Alabama.

In addition to her parents, Ms.Clay was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Clay and daughters; Wendy Clay and Shelia Clay. She is survived by her sister; Hula Cox of Belvidere, Tenn.and brother, Hershel Dewey Nelson of Tullahoma, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date.
