ELIJAH OVERTON "NICK" NICHOLSON, III, age 86, Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Bailey Manor in Fayetteville, Tenn. Mr. Nicholson was born on July 3, 1931 in Joelton, Tenn., to the late Elijah Overton Nicholson, II and Kate Dallas Nicholson. He attended the Estill Springs Church of Christ. Mr. Nicholson was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS Coral Sea.  He was employed in the office of the F.B.I., while attending the college of William and Mary in Virginia.  He was employed at GMAC for several years before becoming a partner in the former H&H Motor Company in Winchester until his retirement.

In addition to his parents Mr. Nicholson is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Nicholson. He is survived by his wife Clara Nicholson of Estill Springs, Tenn.; daughter, Pam Angel and husband, Paul of Huffman Texas; sons, Steve Nicholson and wife, Ramona of Belvidere, Tenn.; David Nicholson and wife, Wendy of New Bern, N.C.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother, Herman Nicholson, sisters, Mary Lou Knight and Katherine Tate all of Joelton, Tenn.

Visitation will be Monday, May 14, from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Brother Winston Tipps, officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
