DOROTHY JEAN BRANDON, age 90, of Tullahoma, Tenn., formerly of Murfreesboro, departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, Tenn., following an extended illness.  Ms. Brandon was born in Shelbyville, Tenn., on June 27, 1936,  to the late Jesse James Brandon and Mary Alice Anderson Brandon.  She was a member of River Rock Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. Ms. Brandon was employed for approximately 20 years as the Office Manager for St. Thomas Cardiology Associates before taking a position from home doing medical transcription. She then retired after 10 years.  After retirement Ms. Brandon was unable to do a lot of physical things she had enjoyed in the past.  She did enjoy watching QVC and Gunsmoke on T.V.

She will be remembered as a hardworking, independent lady that was a very private individual.  She mourned the passing of her son, Dennis at the early age of 22 as he was the victim of a drunk driver and her only child.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Finley.

She is survived by her Niece, Dianne (Ed) Humphres and Nephew, Stevie Brandon all of Normandy, Tenn.

It was Ms. Brandon's wish that she be cremated and no services are planned.
