DENNIS MITCHELL TOWRY, age 61, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, April 7, 2023, at St. Thomas Mid-Town in Nashville, Tenn., following a brief illness.  He was born in Cedar Lake, Indiana, to Jean Morris Towry and the late A.J. Towry on September 30, 1961.  Mr. Towry was a carpenter for several years before becoming disabled.  He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.  Mr. Towry's favorite hobby was working in his greenhouse, he seemed to have been born with a green thumb.  He was a U.T. Football fan and he and his mother were both Atlanta Braves baseball fans and would often watch the games together.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was younger and able to.  He was very talented with drawing and could draw anything he wanted.  Mr. Towry never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, Mr. Towry was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Towry. He is survived by his mother, Jean Towry of Huntland, Aunts; Shirley Morris of Scottsboro, Ala., and Bernice Morris of Melbourne, Fla.  Special "grandchildren", Chasity Ward and Christopher Ward both of Huntland.  Numerous friends and extended family members.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Eulogist, Marvin Morris, officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 on Monday prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery in Estill Fork, Ala.
