DAVID GLENN ROBINSON, SR., age 69, of Gurley, Ala., departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Ala. losing his battle with cancer.  Mr. Robinson was born in Hammond, Ind. on July 22, 1957, to the late Ray Donald Robinson and Susie Belle Mayes Robinson.  Mr. Robinson's family returned to live in the Falls Mill Community in Huntland where he grew up.  Mr. Robinson was employed as a logger during his working years.  He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and he could be called a survivalist by many that knew him.  He enjoyed hunting arrowheads and ginseng. He was a quiet but witty person and gave everyone he liked a nick name.  He loved to be with family and he especially loved hearing from them.  Most of all the love that Mr. Robinson showed for his parents taught his children how to love.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his son, Chad Robinson; brothers; Bobby and Larry "Moe" Robinson and a sister, Judy Eliff.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Robinson of Gurley, Ala., Children; David (Christy) Robinson, Jr. of Lewisburg, Tenn., Julie Robinson of Culleoka, Tenn., Christopher Robinson of Shorewood, Ill., Nicholas Robinson of Wilmington, Ill., Jazmie Swain of Gurley, Ala., step-daughter, Raven Swain of Gurley, Ala., brother, Don (Lisa) Robinson of Elora, Tenn., sisters, Kathy Prince of Tullahoma and Trish Sharrar of Aurora, Ill.

Services for Mr. Robinson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 12, 2026, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services LLC, Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 on Monday.

Interment will follow services at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Huntland.
