DARLA JEAN GILLIAM SMITH, age 52, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life suddenly at her residence on Friday, February 16, 2024, following an extended illness.  Ms. Smith was born in Harvey, Ill., on April 27, 1971, to Rose Sherick Gilliam and the late Grady Gilliam.  She was a homemaker.  Ms. Smith loved her pets.  She enjoyed doing artwork and working in her Garden when she could.  She will be remembered by her loving family for her big heart and her beautiful smile.

She is survived by her Life Partner, Jimmy Hatchett of Winchester, Mother, Rose Mitchell (Art Gordon) of Hazel Green, Ala., Brother, Darrell Gilliam and wife, Tracy of Fayetteville, Tenn., Son, Josh Mitchell of Athens, Ala., Daughter, Nicci Manis of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and 3 grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Bro. David Pinion, officiating.  Visitation with the family is scheduled for 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 on Sunday.

Interment will follow in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
