CLARA DICKENS NICHOLSON, age, 87 of Estill Springs, Tenn., a devoted mother of three children; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, departed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Franklin Manor in Winchester with her loving children at her side. She was born in Ridgetop, Tenn. to the late Leslie Homer Dickens and Millie Leona Harris Dickens on September 5, 1934.  Ms. Clara was a member of the Estill Springs Church of Christ.  She was a Rural Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Estill Springs for over twenty years.  Her favorite pass times were reading and working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, E.O. "Nick" Nicholson, III, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children; Pam Angel and husband, Paul of Huffman, Texas, Steve Nicholson and wife, Ramona of Winchester, and David Nicholson and wife, Wendy of Waynesville, North Carolina.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and two very special "Sisters of the Heart", Mrs. Pauline Steamon of Estill Springs, Tenn., and Mrs. Verna Luthi of Decherd, Tenn.

Visitation for Ms. Clara is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, until Service time at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Winston Tipps, officiating.

Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Herman Nicholson serving as Honorary Pallbearer.  Active Pallbearers are Greg Steadmon, James A. Dickens, David Nowers, Gregg Nicholson, Billy Greer and Don Dickens.
