CLARA MAE RICHARDSON MCCORMICK, age 89, of Normandy, Tenn., formerly of Muncie, Indiana, departed this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness.  Mrs. McCormick was born in Veedersburg, Ind. to the late Lynn Thomas Richardson and Kathran Forrest Richardson on November 11, 1930. Mrs. Clara was a Baptist. She married her husband, Roy Lee McCormick in Waynetown, Ind. on June 10, 1949.  After their marriage they had two children and she stayed at home to take care of them and be a devoted mother and wife.  When their children were older they lived and worked in several states including, Indiana, Colorado, Arizona and Tennessee.  They were both employed at the Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. where Mrs. Clara was employed as a secretary for twenty years.  During their younger years they loved to travel in their motor home and visited forty-five states. She enjoyed reading and listening to John Denver music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Roy McCormick of Normandy, daughter, Sheryl Young and her husband, Randy, also of Normandy.  Son, Jay McCormick and wife, Maggie of Muncie, Ind.  3-grandchildren; Tiffany and husband, Daniel Caudill, Katy and Jay McCormick, Jr. of Muncie, Ind., step-grandchild, Sarah Cassleman and husband, Josh of Tullahoma, great-grandchildren, Gabriell McCormick of Muncie, Ind., step-great-grandchildren; Kaylee and Rylee Cassleman both of Tullahoma.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Visitation scheduled from 5:00 P.M. until service time at 6:00.

Interment will be held in the Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown, Ind.
