CHARLOTTE JANE AUSTELL WEDDINGTON, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., departed this life at her residence on Friday, January 28, 2022, following a brief illness. In 1952, Charlotte was known as the 'Most Beautiful Girl' at Tullahoma High School. It was in that year that she both graduated, then married her sweetheart, Charles Douglas Weddington. Charlotte played clarinet in the marching band, while watching "Doug" on the football field. It was a love story that would last for 66 wonderful years. After her High School Graduation and marriage, Charlotte moved to California with Doug, who served his country in the U.S. Navy, first in San Diego, then in Long Beach, CA. Later, Charlotte moved to Bueno Park, CA, where she and Doug bought a home and began their family. Charlotte was the proud mother of three talented and beautiful children, Beverly Lynn, David Clay, and Carol Beth. Charlotte was active in all of the local PTA's and other academic support services helping children. Though Charlotte was already a consummate Southern Cook, she longed to go to college and pursue her passion to become a Gourmet Chef. She was accepted to the Culinary Arts School in 1976 where she distinguished herself as top in the class. Her talents were many but she was most proud of her family. Charlotte will always be remembered as a beautiful, elegant, and loving wife and mother. She will remain forever in our hearts.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, David Parish Austell and Alta Mai Spears. She is also preceded in death by her Husband of 66 years, Charles Douglas Weddington.

Charlotte is survived by her Daughter Beverly Lynn Weddington, Son David Clay Weddington, and Youngest Daughter Carol Beth and husband, Michael Kolb all of Murfreesboro. Additionally, she will be missed by Binkie, Lily, and Chip, her beloved Cats and Furry Friends.

A Graveside will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, February 4th, at Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma, Tennessee where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Charles Weddington.
