CHARLES RAY RUSSELL, age 80, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his residence following an extended illness.  Mr. Russell was born in Fayetteville, Tenn., to the late Luther "Luke" Coleman Russell and Nannie Lee Johnson Russell on May 3, 1940.  Mr. Russell last attended the Christian Lighthouse Church in Tullahoma, Tenn.  He was self-employed and owned the former Russell and Son's Floor Covering business in Tullahoma.  His favorite hobby when he was younger was playing pool.  He also enjoyed hunting but his favorite sport was fishing. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ward Russell and one grandson, Joshua Matthews.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaye Hirjak and husband, Paul of Winchester, sons; Anthony Russell and wife, Wanda of Biloxi, Miss., Terry Russell of Tullahoma, Tenn., Jason Russell and wife, Amy of Garland, Texas, brother, Frank Russell and wife, Pat of Grand Prairie, Texas, sister, Peggy Englant of Beechgrove, Tenn., several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Russell will be held from 12 noon on Friday, July 3, until service time at 2:00, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Bobby Watkins, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Booneville Cemetery in Lynchburg.
