CATHERINE JEAN STEAKLEY VANDIVER, age 85, of Elora, departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at STRHS Winchester following a brief illness.  Mrs. Vandiver was born in Huntland, Tenn., to the late Howard "Doc" Steakley and Clara Burks Steakley on June 17, 1937.  She was a retired, self-employed beautician of 30 years operating her shop at her home all of those years. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking and caring for all of those around her.  She was a member of the Elora Church of Christ.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vandiver, two sons, Gary and Ricky Vandiver, two brothers; Thomas and Donald Steakley and son-in-law, Ricky Morrow.

She is survived by her daughters; Diane Todd of Huntland, Tina Morrow of Belvidere and Judy Maddox of Elora, sister, Peggy Neal of Estill Springs, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 5-great-great-grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 22, at McClure Cemetery in Huntland, Tenn., with Eulogist, Ian Todd, officiating.
