Bettye Joyce Soloman Gamble, age 85 of Belvidere, TN was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Morning, April 20, 2025, at her residence with her loving family at her side.  Mrs. Gamble was born in the Lexie Crossroads community on Feb 9, 1940, to the late James Soloman and Bessie Brazier Soloman.  She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in the Hickory Grove community, where she was the church pianist for approximately 40 years.  Bettye also taught Sunday School, VBS, and was a youth leader when her children were young.  She was a graduate of Huntland High School.  Mrs. Gamble was a stay at home, mother most of the years while her children were in school. Mrs. Gamble was a very talented seamstress and cook.  She cooked Sunday lunch for many years for her children, grandchildren and friends and for the past several years cooked the meals for the field trials at the Breezy Knoll Farm in Belvidere. She enjoyed cake decorating, baking birthday cakes for her grandchildren,  wedding cakes and working in her flowers.  Bettye enjoyed her retirement and traveling.  Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will continue to be loved and cherished in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kent Roger Gamble, 11 siblings, and great granddaughter Ruby Grace Gamble.
