BETTY JEAN ALLEN SMITH, age 92, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Elk River Health & Rehabilitation in Winchester. Ms. Smith was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to the late William Allen and Nora Majors Allen on May 26, 1930.   She was a member of the Belvidere Baptist Church.  Ms. Smith was employed for many years as the Cafeteria Dietician at Clark Memorial School where she retired.  She loved working word search puzzles, Listening to "Big Al" on WZYX until his death, as well as Classic Country Music.  She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Joe Smith, Son, Ricky Smith, Infant daughter, Sarah Smith, sisters; Maxine Brock and Aline Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo "B.J." Smith of Winchester, Son, William Smith and wife, Jessie of Winchester, Grandchildren; Jessica Oliver of Decherd, Johnathan Smith and Kaoru Smith both of Tokyo, Japan, Jennifer Henley and husband, Michael of Winchester, 10 Great-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Great Grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 15, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Bro. Scott Jones and Bro. Chris Alonso, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Winchester Memorial Park.
