BETTY "BETSY" LOU BRITTON MCGINNIS, age 75, of Estill Springs, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her residence loosing her battle with cancer.  Mrs. McGinnis was born in Memphis, Tenn., on November 21, 1946, to the late James Franklin Britton and Betty Rose Novarese Britton.  She was of the Episcopal Faith.  She was employed for 27 years at Gastro One in Germantown, Tenn. as a Receptionist. After relocating to Estill Springs after her retirement she worked at STRHS Winchester for approximately 2 years before her illness.  She enjoyed watching cooking programs on T.V. and loved cooking and entertaining.  Mrs. McGinnis was a huge fan of country music, especially Willie Nelson.  One of her favorite past times was going to garage sales.  She will be remembered as a loving and giving person that enjoyed helping people.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Brian Cook.  She is survived by her husband, Randy McGinnis of Estill Springs, daughters; Tracy Cook of Memphis and Teresa Thomas of Estill Springs, sisters; Anne Guthrie and husband, Bruce of Memphis and Jane Schmitt and husband, Duane of Collierville, Tenn., grandchildren; Cassidy Cook of Arlington, Tenn., Reese Miller of Murfreesboro, James Miller and Ethan Thomas both of Estill Springs.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Memphis at a later date.
