BENNY WADE MCKENZIE, age 62, of Estill Springs, Tenn., formerly of Huntland, Tenn., left his earthly body to be with the Lord on April 14, 2021, in Luverne Ala.  He was born on October 1, 1958, to the late Harold McKenzie and Faye Jackson Sharp.  He was employed for over 25 years as a Truck Driver.  He was proud of the fact that he had a stellar "no accidents" record while driving all over the United States.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing and a medium rare steak as well as other fine cuisine. He was a proficient athlete at several sports.  He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father to his children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marvin Sharp; grandmotherVergie Johnson and grandparents, Sam and Rubye McKenzie.  He is survived by his wife, Jane Dudley McKenzie of Punta Gorda, Fla., step-mother, Jennie Sue McKenzie,  three daughters; Rachel and John Pinkerton of Nashville, Cynthia McKenzie of Estill Springs, Samantha McKenzie of Charlotte, North Carolina.  3-Grandchildren; James Edwin, Alyssa, and Lilly  Brother; David and wife Robbi McKenzie of Brundidge, Ala., half-brother, Timothy McKenzie and wife, Amanda, sisters; Lisa Hallman and husband, Tom, Debbie Sims and husband, Bobby, half-sisters, Renee Rogers and Kathy and Phillip, Parker, Tammy and Brian Newton, all of Guntersville, Ala., and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, April 23, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.  Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 P.M. Friday until service time at 4:00. It was always Mr. McKenzie's wishes that everyone dress in casual clothes.

A Celebration of Mr. McKenzie's life will be held at Lake Guntersville, Guntersville, Ala., on May 1, 2021, with a lunch to follow at the green pavilions on sunset drive, weather permitting.
