ANNIE SUE POWERS SHERRILL, age 86, of Decherd, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at her daughters residence following an extended illness.  Ms. Sherrill was born in Decherd, Tenn., on June 8, 1934, to the late Andrew Jackson Powers and Nancy Jane Sherrill.  She was a homemaker.  Ms. Sherrill was a lifetime member of the Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  She was also the Cemetarian  for the Gum Creek CP Cemetery for many years.  Ms. Sherrill was a member of the F.C. Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed working in her flowers and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Sherrill was preceded in death by her husband, Lem "L.T." Sherrill.  She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Partin and husband, Randall of Decherd, granddaughter, Susan Hill and husband, Keith also of Decherd.  Grandson, Steven Partin, of Moultrie, Ga., two great-grandsons; Nathan and Daniel Sells.

Services for Ms. Sherrill are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Rocky Whray, officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon on Wednesday prior to the service at 2:00.  Interment will follow in the Gum Creek Cemetery in Decherd.
