WILLIAM ROBERT "BILL" RAMSEY, age 88, of Nashville, Tenn.
departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Greenhills Health
and Rehabilitation Center in Nashville following an extended
illness. Mr. Ramsey was a member of the Madison Heights
Baptist Church in Madison, Tenn. He was retired from J.C.
Penny where he was employed for many years as a stock room
manager. He loved sports and fishing. Mr. Ramsey was a
devoted and loving father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Gamble Ramsey.
He is survived by his daughters; Terri Ramsey Smiley of Madison,
Tenn. Lisa Ramsey (Kenny) Beasley of Goodlettsville, Tenn.,
granddaughters; Ashlee Wall and Natalee Weissinger of
Goodlettsville and Lindsay Smiley of Madison, great-grandson, Logan
Wall. A devoted friend, Sue Vaughn of Lebanon, Tenn.
Visitation with the family will be from 3:00-6:00 P.M.
Friday evening at the Madison Heights Baptist Church in Madison,
Tenn. He will lie in state from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the
Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Huntland, Tenn. with services
following at 2:00 with Bro. Dan Stroud officiating. Interment will
follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Huntland, Tenn. In lieu of
flowers the family request donations to the Madison Heights Baptist
Church, 815 E. Old Hickory Blvd., Madison, TN 37115 in his
memory.
